Ro, you are hot! I was at one of your shows recently and really wanted a copy of your CD but didn't have any money. You GAVE ME A COPY FOR FREE saying that it was "more about the message than the money." And from what I understand, that's something you do often. Just wanted to say a super big thank you for that and give you big props for that, it is that type of attitude that makes you the star that you are.

Talk about a blast from the past. We never have met personally, however, back in my days growing up in Portland and during my high school years, we would chat online and kick back rhymes/poems/expressions. I was young and just getting started into Poetry. I'm not sure if this rings a bell. But, we lost touch and I have stopped writing. I notice a void when pages remain blank, so much potentil they posses.
Anyway, I wanted to say hello again and I enjoyed the chats....and rhymes going back and forth we used to share. Thanks for the help and fun. Maybe we will chat again, who knows!
I was newbalance17 or cwarrior4L, but I don't use those anymore.
Thanks for bending your ear!

We found this feedback on a Portland Indie Media in response to Ro being listed as a performer in the upcoming Def-Sentence CD Release Party....
Rochelle Hart is AMAZING- Go see her perform tonite!!! 04.Jun.2005 17:04 --------
I saw Rochelle Hart (aka RO DEEZY) perform at the PCLF benefit at Nocturnal in November, and again last weekend at the PSU hip hop summit- and was absolutely astounded. I'm going to this show based on her presence alone! It seems to be a rare thing when someone can fuse political awarness with performance poetry and not come off totally didactic, or worse, cliched and tired. I'm not an art critic, but I've see Rochelle do it her way and succeed beyond expectation. She's got the power! GO SEE HER PERFORM! http://www.rodeezy.com

Ro Deezy! Saw you at the hip-hop summit, last Saturday in Portland. As a panelist, you had great things to say that are relevant to the struggle and conscious-raising efforts of those who still believe in this generation. And your performance was hot ... you have an amazing ability to be a one-woman show, no frills, no hype, no dancers or DJ and yet totally command an audience! You go sista! The world awaits great things from you.

Many women love God, many women rise to fame and a lot of women accomplish acts of greatness that forever change the lives of many. Many women reach a place where they are both socially courageous and spiritually submissive. Many women speak with such authority, honesty and conviction that entire nations stop to listen. And while many women do each of these things, it is a rare occasion to find a woman who does them ALL. Ro Deezy, you are amongst the world's rarest treasures and we salute you!

Rochell you are such a great writer and I look up to you and all that you do. I live in a small "non-black" place called Cheyenne, Wyoming. Once I caught sight of your poetry, it has been an inspiration to me to read your fabulous poetry to the small-minded people that surround me. I am going to Nationals to represent you and show these people who I look up to. Thank you for writing poetry.

To My Only Daughter Ro-DEEZY
I think about the days when you would ask me to pick a word, and a few minutes later you would come with a poem, day after day, year after year, GOD was creating his master piece right before our eyes. I thank GOD for choosing me to be your Mother, and I thank GOD for blessing me with a wonderful Husband, to watch over his BLESSED CHILD. GOD had favor with us. He gave me the responsibilities of a Mother. Matthew 15:28 reads
"Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole form that very hour.
