An activist. revolutionary and renowned, award-nominated author of seven published books, Rochell D. Hart, better known as Ro Deezy is also a celebrated spoken word and recording artist who has shared the stage with legends ranging from Nikki Giovanni to The Roots and Dead Prez.  Ro Deezy's performances have been solicited by organizations that range from NIKE, The Urban League, The National Coalition against Domestic Violence, Portland State University, Washington State University, Bennett University (NC), Sisters In Action for Power and many more. In July 2005, Ro Deezy received an award from the late Rosa Parks honoring her activism and Ro’s name was added to "The Wall of Tolerance" at the Civil Rights Memorial Center in Montgomery, Alabama.
