The Man Behind The Music: The Life and Times of David "O.G. One" Jackson": From celebrated, six-time published and award-nominated author Rochell D. "Ro Deezy" Hart-Burton comes the extraordinary life story of David "O.G. One" Jackson – a story rooted in perseverance beyond measure. It's been 20 years since the story of the Eccelessia Athletic Association (EAA) and its leader, Eldridge Broussard, captured national headlines. When 8-year-old Dana Broussard (daughter of the leader) was beaten to death was beaten to death by the assumed cult, the story captured the attention of The New York Times, and TIME Magazine and Eldrige Broussard made an appearance on Oprah. In the years that have passed since the national frenzy, none of the former child or adult members of the EAA have come forth with their story … until now. David William Jackson Jr. grew up as a member of the EAA. In the years since that time, David, better known as O.G. One, has achieved notable successes in the music industry. A deejay and producer, David is presently the official deejay for the NBA's Portland Trailblazers. He is also an official representative of TOYOTA Scion and for NIKE's Brand Jordan. David is also the only deejay from the Northwest to appear twice on BET's Rap City (In The Basement). In 2006, ADIDAS created a limited edition tennis shoe in his name. David's clients have included mega celebrities that range from NBA legend Michael Jordan to music stars such as Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Jamie Foxx, and a myriad of others. In The Man Behind The Music: The Life and Times of David W. "O.G. One" Jackson David tells his life story – including never before shared details of what life was really like growing up under the leadership of Eldrige Broussard. David tells of how he persevered through living in a car after the EAA disbanded to his present status now as a celebrated music figure. ..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
